89.8 with Harpertown 3.2GHz on 1600 FSB Seaburg
to AMD's 2.5GHz 86.3
For reference, 3GHz Clovertown/Bensley scored 66.9
(All peak scores)
89.8 / 66.9 = 34 % score increase on 6.7% clock increase (and clovertown to harpertown, bensley to seaburg)

Presumably this means that achievable BW is up more than 28%, which is not a surprise given the relatively low performance of the 5000-series memory controllers.

Well, I think Seaburg's improved snoop filter and larger caches on Harpertown (plus it's other small IPC & clock gains) probably helped a little too.
But it is certainly an impressive improvement.

Not to forget the increase in FSB frequency and resulting overall mem bandwidth.

There is no official 2.5 GHz Barcelona score..... Where did Intel get this
number from? It looks more like a 2.2 GHz to 2.3 GHz score to me.
89.8 3.2 GHz Harpertown 1600 MHz FSB
77.3 2.0 GHz QC Opteron 667 MHz DDR2
73.0 1.9 GHz QC Opteron 667 MHz DDR2
Regards, Hans

25% increase in frequency for merely 15% of performance in SpecFP....
Not an earth-shattering scaling...........
OK, the DDR2 is still 667Mhz, but one could have hoped AMD would have selected better components to show a better light.
