An agressive interviewer from Al-Jazeera grills Bernard Kouchner about Iran:

Amusing stuff. Direct questions that are central to the issue are kinda rare in the field of journalism these days imho.

Thanks a lot for that link. Interesting and funny indeed. Kouchner is a catastrophe.

Edit: oh, and poor Kouchner does not speak English well enough, so he makes some embarrassing mistakes. For example he uses the verb "to report" thinking it means the same as the French reporter (meaning "to postpone") while it does not... Uh oh. :)

Why do you call her aggressive ? She asked some pertinent questions, and while americans may have forgotten that, it used to be the job of journalists you know :). If anything, I found she didn't push hard enough on some issues, like the NPT treaty and how it relates to what the security counsel votes. But if anyone was aggressive it was Kouchner. A few times I expected him to exploded in rage lol. BTW, that interviewer can always be "aggressive" on me, anytime she wants :p

BTW bis, if you like journalists asking pertinent questions, subscribe to the real news:

I posted it before, but they are still putting out lots of excellent stuff. Check out the "Why Senator Clinton?" clip for instance

Heh, aggressiveness is a positive trait for a journalist imho so I'd say it was more of a compliment ;) Most media reporting down here is more into sensationalism than real coverage, so it's nice to see questions that go to the core of the issues as opposed to ones that are just praise or attack people without getting into dwelling on the topic itself.

Thanks for the realnews link, I bookmarked it, seems it has some interesting stuff in there.
